SEMA ZJ (Bushwacker Edition) 2008  And many other great Jeeps and some Celebrities!

Welcome to the 2008 photo gallery of CSL Offroad.com.  Because we specialize in Cherokee and Grand Cherokee vehicles, when Bushwacker asked us to be part of their SEMA ZJ we were extremely excited!  After talking with Geoffery Logan (Lead CAD Designer) and builder of this monster ZJ, we knew he wanted some protection for the front and rear of his rig.  So we donated a set of our RockSolid bumpers (manufactured by Protofab 4x4) as we knew they were the highest quality of any aftermarket bumper PERIOD!  As you can see from the pictures, the Bushwacker edition ZJ looks great and will perform even better on the trails.  If you have any questions, feel free to email us.

More pics to come in the next week.....

The SPECS on the SEMA Jeep are Below:
- Origin:  Jeep ZJ Laredo, 5.2L V8, NP249 Quadradrive, D30 front axle, D35 rear axle.
- BDS 6.5" Long Arm lift
- Interco M16 tires 37x13.50x17  (if you look close you'll see the M16
shells molded into the tire sidewall)
- Allied Beadlock Wheels 17x9
- Kevins Offroad Roof Rack (Front was heated and bent down)
check out the tie plate on this rack, it was redone with a bullet cut out
- Bumpers provided by us! (ProtoFab4x4 manufacturers them, Rocksolid series)
- Dynatrac Axles, I believe they were D44's with ARB's and 35 spline axles
- Obviously bushwacker fender flares, but the little bumper flares
were a one off piece that really made it look trick.
- ViAIR tanks on top  (I believe they were both 24lb bottles)
- Side cladding was removed, welded, bondo'd and then repainted
- I don't recall the exhaust, but I want to say magnaflow
- Milemarker 10K winch
- PIAA HID headlights with custom 1-off grill
- Custom Gas cap, it was milled from solid aluminum with the BW logo

Celebrity Ride in the MAXXIS XRRA Rock buggy with Kim Sears:

I bumped into Kim in the Toyota proving grounds and was able convince her to chauffeur me around in her XRRA Rock buggy!  While she was driving me around I asked her when the last time she rolled this buggy... Her reply was never!..  I learned later that she doesn't count rolling it on its side a real roll-over!!  She's a great person and if you ever have the chance to meet her, take the opportunity.  In the first two pics we are actually on 3 wheels because we maxed the suspension!

More Sweet Cherokee's and Grand Cherokee's:

The Top three pics + first  pic in the second row are of a 2008 Commander with a 3" Superlift Suspension, which allows 32" tires.  The cool part about this jeep is the tire carrier!  This unit is made by "TireGate" Hitch Tire Carrier and slides into the receiver hitch.  It opens like a standard swing away carrier, but you can remove it by just removing the pin in your ball hitch!  So any jeep with a ball hitch can run the carrier!!

2nd row middle pic is of a Grand Cherokee WJ and has the AEV conversion done to it. AEV is a company that produces turn-key vehicles.  So, if you have enough $$ you can order that rig!  It features a 3" lift with 32" tires.

This Grand Cherokee ZJ was at the show last year, but it's still awesome!  It was purpose built to chase storms in the midwest.  This year it's sporting a new set of Bushwacker Fender Flares, a host of new electronics and custom dents!  I believe this ZJ is using a 6" long arm lift, which easily clears the 33" tires.  It also has a winch front and rear, along with a KOR roof rack and a set of very nice bumpers.

Here is a set of Cherokee XJ's that have a conversion kit installed.  A "Brute" conversion was done, which just means the back of it is cut off and made into a pickup bed.  The conversion kit is offered by a few companies, but mainly AEV Conversions.  One great feature of the first Brute is the LED lightbar above the windshield.  They are really cool!

More vehicles from the Offroad section:

This is Matt Thorson's Champion Tough Truck from the Top Truck Challenge!  This vehicle was running Rockwell axles with custom 45 spline shafts that turned 56" SuperSwamper tires!  To say this vehicle was enormous is an understatement!  I got to speak to Matt for a little bit about his rig.  He jokingly said he would take $175K for this beast!  Later in the conversation I found out he was serious!  He has plans to build a bigger rig for his son to drive in the next Top Truck Challenge!!

More to come along with commentary........
